Thanks MichAEl for the great link. I kept reading and reading and went to the Big story and boy this thing is getting complicated. There's ATT with their 2b format, Liquid Audio's, Ibm/Sony's, Microsofts and now lucent. They're all vieing for position to get their format accepted. And the RIAA is trying to come up with standards. This thing is way more complicated than the VHS verse Beta battle. They all agree on one thing and that is somethings got to be done about MP3. But it is important that if one of these companies and their affiliates wants their secure pirate proof format to become the standard, aquireing CDNW would be a good play. These companies are all really at each other's throats, while on the surface agreeing with each other that something must be done about MP3. And there's CDNW which doesn't make any money but has a huge reach and it's stock price is relatively low as compared to Amazon. Plus CDNW sells more music than Amazon. This is probably why there are rumors abounding that some one wants to get a grip on CDNW. IMO.
