Recall that Dr. J, or Sulpezio, indicated on the Q-2 CC that Q! will take an additional $100mm charge in respect of the Infra Division in Q-3 and that "[t[his includes compensation expenses related to employees being transferred to Ericsson." [Quote from Q-2 release] No telling if there is any "extra" cushion included in there to account for additional "give" to employees.

Not my area, but option plans are discretionary with the employer, but once terms thereof are spelled out, employees have rights as specified. Not sure what the plan says in event of Company/Division sale, but if wmolloy (I think said this) that all outstanding options will be considered 100% vested, this may already represent a concession to the Infra. employees. Anyone else?

I've heard the same, but I haven't heard why they are madder than hell. I understand that some are upset because they are not getting the same deal that NextWave and Wireless Knowledge allegedly got, i.e.
keeping their options. This would save the employees a mighty tax bill.
MAny of the infra people currently stand to make between $500K and $2000K pre-tax.

I wish I had their problem
