A note about growth rates. Not reflected in these earnings. Data sales holding their own - DCR, the revenue decline culprit. Any burgeoning in the oil industry or defense budgets or broadcaster purchases should lead finally to some modest growth. MicroNet growth in a fledgling uptrend. Now for the REAL growth. TVontheWeb's target of 500 channels in 5 years would be roundabouts an 88% annual growth rate. Carl Reiter says their business is tripling year over year. Don't know about AENTV. So though growth is not apparent in this earnings release and probably won't be in the next....it's coming.

Wall street view of AXC I have a question for long time holders of stock- back in Keepered media days, were Wall Street analysts/institutional holders burned badly by this stock? If so, Bramson may be worrying about this, which would in turn influence his decision-making. Put explicitly, he may be being (excessively?) cautious re: "hype", public relations, analyst grooming, and possible IPOs. Conservatism/close to the vest has been the order of the day for Ampex, and that may simply be the style/personality of Bramson, which is hard to change (and may well be in the long-term interests of the company). Is Marione from the same school, or will he push Bramson in a different direction?
