So when exactly is E3 and when will we hear the quarterly results? BTW, I really liked the quote of the day on the link you posted. I hate to get my hopes up on the V4 being announced at E3. However, the speculation has some credibility. - TDFX will be pushing the envelope on the 4000 at 200+ clock speeds. - Intels 4X implementation keeps getting pushed back (Sept?). How useful is a 4X chip this summer if Intel ain't ready for the party? - The V3 2000 & especially the 3000 are selling at a record pace (per TDFX better than V2) - nVidia's offering is a reputation buster (no LCD?, o/c fans, yeah right) - The V3 3500 gets you a little more power but more importantly does Flat Panels like no one else. This will give them a strong niche - high margin flat panels buyers and bleeding edge gamers looking for every ounce of juice. So given that V4 is probably really really close after almost 2 years, is there a need to squeeze in a V3 4000 as a retail launch when they don't really need it. Why not stick with what they've got and push the V4 4X 32 bit low end OEM, gamer, and SLI monster cards for the Christmas season. Man oh man - just thinking about all that raw power makes me want to pre-order right now. On the other hand, putting that card in my PII 266 might be like putting a rocket engine into a VW Bug ;) Joe C.
