It would be nice to have REALTIME NEWS filtered via user-definable searchwords.

Gibbons, Chris, SOMEBODY at quote.com!!!!

Evidently my 90 day "Plus package" free trial subscription ran out over the weekend. Well, GUESS WHAT!!!??? The idiots handling this little chore did not notice that I am a QCHARTS PREMIUM SUBSCRIBER, or was, anyway. I am now no longer subscribed to *any* service, thank you very much, and I'm locked out of the service this morning.

I hesitate to go into the account management pages to re-institute it, 'cause I don't know how long it will take and what else might get screwed up in the process.

I'm on hold waiting for QCharts customer service as I type this. Thankfully they've changed it so you *can* stay on hold, at least!

Help me, please.

Gibbons, You chided me before, perhaps a year ago, on this request, but now I see that it would be so relatively easy for your programmers to implement that I want to ask again:

Please allow for 'sound effects' corresponding to a Time&Sales window.

What I mean by this is: In the 'Colors' set-up window for Time&Sales, change the name of that window to 'Colors and Sounds.' In that window you would add for *each* of the nine 'Highlights' a little check box for 'Sound.' If the respective check box is checked, when the corresponding trade occurs, a tone will sound, frequency of the tone being related logically to level of the trade.

For example: For stock XYZ with Time&Sales window active, and various 'Sound' boxes checked in the 'Colors and Sounds,' when a trade comes across at ask, a particular higher pitched tone sounds. A second trade comes across at ask, that same higher pitched tone sounds again. Then a trade comes across at bid, and a relatively lower tone sounds. Then a trade comes across between ask and bid, and a middle tone sounds.

From a programming standpoint, you already know if the trades fall into these categories, because they are now assigned colors. And the tones would be irrespective of price, instead only corresponding to the colors.

From a user standpoint, the user can be working on other matters at their desks, and audibly be monitoring what's going on with their particular stock of interest. When they hear a succession of higher pitched tones, they can be happy that their stock is at least holding ground. If they hear a succession of lower pitched sounds, they may want to turn their attention to their monitor, and perhaps get ready to sell.

I hope this idea is seen favorably by you and others here.

Thanks,
Nicholas Kormanik
