Robert,

Individual selections to AIM are certainly up to the individuals but I think that people and particular newcomers to AIM should understand that certain investments are not really suitable for AIM'ing in my opinion. I believe this "don't buy companies that can go out of business" opinion is in line with the philosophy in the Lichello book.

I don't remember suggesting Latin American banks as a particularly good long term investment although I might have suggested them as a trade or talked about Citigroup and Chase Manhattan benefitting once the Latin American economies started to come around. I do remember that certain banks in Mexico during the previous round of devaluation were forced to merge with stronger banks at pennies on the dollar to the original investors.

There are many ways to make money, but after a decade of sub-par returns in emerging markets (not AIM'ed) and a series of devaluations in both Mexico and Brazil, I have exited with most of my hide intact. I don't expect I'll go back again.

I wish you well on your continued successful investment in BFR.
