You are right, the VISX story has been out for a while now (on threads like this one as well as with professional money managers). However, I find it interesting that a historical search on both Forbes and BusinessWeek turned up basically nothing over the past 6 months or so (when these stocks had their most dramatic raise). Barron's new article on 5/17/99 should spark additional interest. Most of the retail public probably still does not know about Lasik and this company. When someone told me about Lasik my first reaction was "that sounds too good to be true". (I notice the thread on Yahoo is quite active) Thank you for your comments though.

As more competition deliver their products over the next few months/quarters, wouldn't the $250/eye procedure fee start to go down? Why aren't we seeing this trend already?
