Can anyone please tell me if the USAI-Lycos deal is officially dead?

Hi, Jim - Thanks for your posts / updates on IPO's and link for MSGI earnings report -- a lot of good info on new / planned MSGI initiatives online, ecommerce there. I added some to my current position today.

Obviously, good news and good bounce on CMGI. My feeling on CMGI since last week -- as per the shareholder meeting and the Red Herring article spelling out scenarios for CMGI - Lycos link - up -- is that there is a new story developing here for CMGI.

Here's something I sent in a PM to someone a couple days ago recommending consideration of CMGI as THE STOCK OF THE NEXT 5 YEARS -- other opinions / comments appreciated:

<< CMGI appears to be aggressively moving to expand operating company activities in addition to VC internet incubator focus. A NEW STORY IS DEVELOPING HERE, IMO, and one that could see CMGI potentially evolve into A MAJOR "NEW MEDIA" INTERNET CONGLOMERATE with ownership / affiliations across the entire net spectrum and encompassing:

portals -- general and specialty, content, community, broadcast / streaming media, services, software, advertising, commerce, site maintenance and infrastructure -- just about everything except access and, of course, could come readily through multiple source feed-in / affiliations. Obviously offline traditional media affiliation with the proper"value" and partnership roles recognized -- not the USAI valuation standards -- would be an additional point of expansion. >>

For anyone who missed it, here's the Red Herring link posted earlier by Mike Boiko on this thread:
