btw, my husband and i both work at home...we feel the problem is more the schools since we are EXTREMELY involved with our kids' day to day activities and learning...teachers are complacent with the status quo, not interested in each individual child's needs...not incented by the school admin to innovate, nurture...

the most important job on the planet imo, and they make so little...JMO

OT*OT* David: IMO the two are not mutually exclusive, that is, being buddies with your children AND teaching (not training!, you train animals and teach people, I think) them to respect others. I just heard that the single biggest customers for metal detectors in the US are public schools. Do you suppose this is because children aren't taught to respect others or due to the incredible availability guns. There are now almost 2 guns for every man woman and child in this country. Is this necessary? Aloha
