John Stichnoth: "Andy" is just fine, and I appreciated your even-tempered, and well-reasoned post. Thank you for the handset primer.

As for the "Hummer" effect, I would discount it completely. It did Iridium absolutely no good, and subscribers I know thought it was cool to show off in a restaurant, but a pain in the rear to haul around.

Schwartz is headed to San Diego next week to whup on Q to up handset production earlier. Let's hope he is successful. My bet is on Schwartz.

Mika on the Q thread says to look for a new G* phone from ERICY next week. Should be their second generation. Q's second generation is close too.
