Help me here. IDTC at 26.5 has a market cap of $605.442 MM. The IPO is for $50MM of which IDTC has 66% = $33MM. This represents approx 5.5% of the market capitalization. The way I figure that is about $1.5/share. Am I missing somthing. Please enlighten me to the greater value.

There is no question as to what is better. I'd like shares in NTOP but if it goes to 60 and IDTC owns 66% of NTOP the company's market cap will soar.

I posted privately that I never believed that there would be a spinoff to shareholders because that would be a taxable event at this juncture and Jonas has always surrounded himself with people who know what they are doing. To my way of thinking there are two possibilities the entire company will be sold or when it becomes a tax free distribution net-2-phone will be distributed to the shareholders, chief of whom is JOnas.

I agree with you 100 % on the IPO. He did whats best for IDT Corp long term. I wanted this thing to pop and it was a let down but if I were Jonas I would do the same thing. So we wait a bit longer for the pop. I learned a great lesson in investing yesterday. I was thinking with greed and not thinking like a CEO. So I got suprised in the short term as did other individual investors. The bigs boys did not bail but short termers did.

If one is a long term investor things will work out better and if its short term then you made less money or you have to wait for more until the next couple of weeks.

I know you thought he would give us shares but you know they did just in a different way than we thought. So sure we could have trade this stock and made some more money but next time we will think twice and do some things different. Again the company did what was best for them which they should do.

People say you changed your stance well hell we all were tought a lesson and we should have expected this. Life is about making adjustments to our thinking. Many more companies will do the same as IDT Corp.

Hopefully tommorrow we gain some ground back and next week we get new buying and some gid new deal announcements.

Here is to a restfull sleep tonight.

H60,

In the first case the investors profit is 60X100=6000 not
4000!!. Unless we know the details of the IPO no math can be
worked out!. where do you get the offing price. It is meaningless
to assign numbers to ipo stock price at this point in time.
