Man torn to shreds by Homourists

L.A. Times:

26 May 1999, Paul T. took only a moment to 'post' a few stories
he had found which portrayed the absurd ironies that life so often bestows on the human species. Most met with general acceptance, on the 'Tell Us a Joke' Thread of the Silicon Investor, a popular Internet investment chat arena. However one met such outrage and bile that is could be said that Paul became one of his own stories.

It seems that in his posting of story about the death of Wrestler
Paul T. failed to realize he was striking a the heart of the
New American Hero. When he should have been mourning the loss of a Great Man, he was shaking his head over a situation where
a 'Sport' that thrives on outlandish displays of extreme brutality
and violence, suddenly attempts to become serious when The True Grim Reaper finally wins the Match.

Barely surviving his attempt at humour, and recovering in an undisclosed location paul t was reached for his reaction. Raspberries said Paul cryptically

And the moral of the story. If you are going to post on the thread do not attempt anything of greater stature than elephant or light bulb jokes or Lets 'kill all the lawyers' lines.. Irony and Sarcasm are Verboten. Complicated humour is not appreciated. And be sure to never offend the Laugh Police who patrol the thread on their little red tricycles looking for big ole mean thinking people.

So ends the story of Paul T. the fellow who was torn to shreds for his humour.
