Mark agree we all have our paths to God. I do not propose to have the one and only way. I have no problem with Christians believing in Jesus and teaching their families the same. My problem with them is their proselyting others and creating the illusion of heaven and hell and promoting fear and selfishness instead of love and sharing. God created the world and its abundance for all. The idea of a God creating an imperfect race and then punishing them for his creation errors is beyond reason. The miracles stated in the bible are also beyond reason. That is why the bible insists on faith and says wisdom is nothing and abhorred by God.

With all my negative posts you have never heard me say anyone would go to hell for non belief.

Mark as you seem interested in research and quote from recent books let me suggest a new avenue for cheap research and classic literature.
The site has much philosophical and historical books and documents which give access to online texts free. You can download to disk and build your own library.

I am there now and just downloaded The Six Enneads by Tacitus in A.D.250 about the time the bible was rewritten by Rome.
