Colleen B... i can tell you that a prefab home gets built in about 4 weeks maximum, including all facilities etc... i used to do that for many years shipping homes...precut framing and assembling, painting, putting the whole thing together in Hokkaido in Japan... this belize thing is a joke... our homes were built according to UBC code of California..so they have a 85 miles per hour wind resistance...40psf snow load etc...2x6 framing.... heavy duty... this belize shelter should have been built in a matter of 3 weeks... and i also include foundation in those 4 weeks we built... install finished plumbing insulation etc.... at most it would take us 6 weeks depending if it was bigger than 1800sq.ft or not...
