When someone is calling me a liar, for posting information that is publicly verifiable and available on line, I don't call that good information. You all are desperately trying to defend the lie that got started that the Application had been submitted. It has not. The facts are not a lie. If they have applied, please post it. Otherwise, stop calling me names for bringing facts to this discussion.

I realize these are inconvenient facts, but I didn't start this claim that they have filed. Looks to me like some misguided soul named Matt is the guilty one here. Why don't you find him and rag on him for either forwarding nonsense or fabricating it himself.

I called the Office of Thrift Supervision last Friday. The Jersey City office handles the Northeaster Region, which would cover applications from PA or NY. Their computer can search various fields... they had no reference to any application under PanAmerican or Firststates; nor did they have any record of an application with Leo F. Doyle's name on it. I assume he is the one making the application (from PABN's press release of 3/11/99). If they application was sent to a different office or agency, would someone please share the info? I too am wondering about the FBI investigation... Thanks. PatP
