Nemer, I use (Phone) Rossenthal Collins Group(RCG), Peregrine Financial Group(PFG) and EDF Mann. I am happy with all 3. I use the Executioner for stocks. I used RCG's E-futures for the S&P and E-Mini for a while but the problems turned in to horror stories. PFG's Bestdirect is the most reliable from what I hear but they are all years behind the Nasdaq even Superdot for that matter.

John

Some conspiracy theorists say that tops/cubs seems to go down when ever the market tanks/rockets too fast. Could be something to it. I know that if you place an order on the NYSE a couple of minutes before 3:00 EST the specialist usually sits on it until he sees which direction the market moves at the Bond closing.

My only misgiving with BestDirect is that I left my name and number there several weeks ago, then called the following Monday.

The fellow I spoke with with (J***) said he would send out the app.

The following day someone called on the data I sent via the web and I told him not to worry, that J*** sent the stuff out.

Never came.

Um, I heard of BestDirect through my Dallas Connection. Everything seemed okay, just heard one bad remark. The lack of a mailer with the app is a minor thing but these days anything sets me off. I have over twenty accounts, I cannot chase down brokers and beg them to send me an app. I'm real busy, I just cannot do other people's work for them.

By the way, the pattern dude seems hot. check his site once in awhile. Scott mentioned to me Monday that his advisory was free that day and he was clicking the times well. So I took a late Long based on one of his times and it worked out well. I don't know if anyone else is using it but I know how he generates the prognosis and he is real good at it.

I imagine that he got kilt today but it was a whacky day from any standpoint.

ED&F Man is good, I like them better than Electronic for the Spoo.

LeoWeb is very good from a backoffice point of view.

I'm told the Best is McDonald for a BD but J Aron is the pre-eminent one in the pit from a general standpoint. That Logic makes sense to me but I'm sure J Aron is for the well-heeled trader. So I like Man over experiences with LFG and LW.

That's about all I have on the subject.

<I gather that you've taken Leo from the table.

What were the main reasons for your consideration of electronic trading ?
Are you still using E D F Man ?>

No, I still use Leo for E-Mini but I suspect BestDirect may be superior except for the response to my request which bothers me a tad.

I considered E-Trading because I was convinced by well-meaning posts. Plus influence from my friend in Dallas. But it's not all it's cracked up to be on the spoo. Not the way I trade, anyway.

Yes, I still use Man.
