Eric,

I'm curious how you determined the 1/10 bandwidth figure. Also, do you have any idea how they accomplished it?

Thanks,
wily

Eric,

Just one more quick comment about data feed reliability. I have a cable modem, which I feel may not be as reliable as a conventional modem. The reason I suspect this the nature of the service. With a cable modem you have to use the facilities of a cable company and ISP. Cable companies have never been known for their service, or reliability. I am in a chat room with 75 to 100 people on the same real tick data feed and the outages are not inclusive of everyone. I suspect that the outages are mostly ISP and cable company problems then real tick or Cybertrader.

A 56k modem works great for real tick. Actually there is not that much data that comes through relative to what a modem is designed to handle. When my cable modem is down I use a 24k phone connection to access the feed and it works fine. I have 3-5 market minders and 8-10 charts on two monitors so I probably would stress the system if anyone would. Hope this helps!!

John
