Whatever works is what you should do. The only problem I have ever seen is where a guy starts out with a day trade and it goes the wrong way. Suddenly he calls it a "position trade".

If it keeps going the wrong way, it then becomes "an excellent long term investment".

Wrong.

If it's a day trade, it's a day trade. If it goes wrong, you get out, you don't twist your brain into making it a position trade.

If you find yourself thinking, "I'm way past my limit on this, I have to hold it", just step out into the back yard and let the dog bite you, it's less painful and it's over faster.

I wish there were some things that I didn't learn the hard way. <ggg>

I've been position trading for a lot longer than I've been day trading. I've been very successful position trading this year. While I was losing money learning to day trade effectvely, I was more than making up for the losses with position trading.

AugustWest:
I agree with TLC's comments regarding daytrading and position trading stocks.

In terms of trading performance this past month, I thought trading was easier in April than May. But then again, the first month of each quarter tends to be much more active and volatile due to the earnings reports and therefore tends to offer more opportunities for successful trading.
