On another SI thread today, there was a suggestion that Intel's legal action against AMD and CYRX was filed in order to delay the release of the K-6. I believe, to make such an accusation is supreme impudence. Intel's legal action today was not intended to delay AMD's announcement, but rather to enforce what are Intel's legal rights, and what is right also? There can be no justification for AMD, or Cyrix, to be permitted to capitalize on the use of Intel's patent applied, MMX trademark. AMD and Cyrix this time will not be permitted to profit at the expense and efforts of Intel, as they did in yesteryear. No!!
