Emcee:  EL KABONG!!! Type:  Unmoderated
To All;

This thread is dedicated to helping one George Harriman, a fellow SI poster, who through no fault of his own, and in relatively short order has proceeded to:

a) Lose two/three small fortunes by making bad investment decisions (that's two/three in the same stock; maybe there's others we don't know about yet);

b) Lose his high school sweetheart to another beau when she cheated behind his back;

c) Alienated his boss and his broker to the point where both of them laugh at him behind his back (that's twice I've used that phrase; hmm...); his broker won't take his telephone calls; and his broker may even be trying to cheat him out of what remains of his investment capital.

George has stated that he has modest goals for his life, and I think that we at SI owe it to the George's in our midst to help him achieve those goals:

a) To make $10,000 investing so that he can retire from the swatch business and live off of his investment income (I think we can all pitch in and help on this one);

b) A girl (he's not particular, any girl close by I think he said);

c) A BMW or a SOB (I hope he meant Saab) so he can be a big shot showoff like his boss in a Mercedes convertible;

d) Some religious self-respect (he's made several promises to God that he hasn't kept);

e) Some help in keeping his (heavy) drinking problem under control;

f) A new rug for his dog (by golly, that goal has been realized; one down many to go);

g) The gumption to ask the office girl out on a date (you're on your own here, George!);

h) Some respect from his boss and his broker; apparently his boss sends secret spies down to the local Charles Schwab office to check on George's whereabouts;

i) To go into his boss's office, drop his pants and leave his "scent" on his boss's desk (I added this one on my own; thought it sounded good); his boss can use those swatches to clean up the mess.

Now I know what you're thinking. "WHY him and not me? I can use $10,000, too!" I think that as good SIers, we all should pitch in and help. It would be un-American (or un-Canadian) to think otherwise. A "me too" attitude will not be tolerated on this thread. This will be George's thread. If you think you need help just as much as George, you can start your own d@mn thread.

What follows is a small collection of some of George's earlier SI posts. In good faith I cannot claim to be the gatherer of these messages. A very sincere "thank you" to another nameless SIer for all the work in gathering together this collection (thanks, Janice).

Now I will not contact George immediately because I'd like to see if he can find his thread on his own merits. If he hasn't posted here by Monday morning, I'll send him a private message. In the interim, there's no sense in the rest of us wasting time. We can post some sage advice for this fellow. No stock hypesters please. No shorts and no penny pushers. Just good solid stock selections. Or maybe some brokerage advice might help. If there's any ladies out there looking for Mr. Right, your ship may have just come in in. Who knows? A cyber relationship? A cyper wedding? The pitter patter of a little George's feet? Stay tuned!
