Brokers live, eat, and breathe Wall Street. So naturally you would expect them to know more about investing than you, right? Well...

Post here your favorite stories about brokers who clearly did not know what they were talking about. I am looking for less in terms of bad recommendations as outright factual errors about rules, laws, etc.
