This company was one of the earliest to invent a rapid prototyping machine. DTM's is called a laser sinterer, and it produces prototype parts or even small runs by directing a laser into a chamber to melt powdered plastic substrate into fairly precise shapes. The part is designed on a work station and the CAD file (or similar) can then be sent directly to the "Sinterstation," where the part can be made in minutes.

They have a bit of history, but B.F. Goodrich has cashed in its chips and the stock looks like it may have a fresh start.

There is a YAHOO! thread but it is, er, uneven.
