Could be an even bigger boost for them as they move thier business to the Web.

From Hoover's:

Lab explosions and other accidents would be a lot more difficult to take if not for VWR Scientific Products. Through its catalogs and Web site, the company sells more than 250,000 products, including laboratory supplies and equipment, safety gear, furniture, and chemicals. Its customers include schools, industries, and scientists throughout the US and Canada. VWR Scientific Products also sells clean-room supplies and apparel to makers of electronics, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals. Its science education products account for around 8% of sales. Drug maker Merck owns about 50% of the company.
