Introduction Compact

R.O.C. Taiwan Fund is a closed-end management investment company. The Fund seeks long-term capital appreciation. The Fund will invest at least 70% of its assets in equities of Republic of China (R.O.C.) issuers. The Fund may also hold debt securities and money market instruments. Current R.O.C. laws and regulations limit, and in some cases prohibit, foreign direct investment. The Fund is the only fund listed on the NYSE that can invest in Taiwan's OTC market.
