PIG Roast. Putting Pork Barrel spending in it's place

Despite a laggard economy and talk by lawmakers about the need for fiscal restraint, pork-barrel spending achieved new highs — or lows — in appropriations bills passed this year.
Every year, pork barrel legislation finds its way into the federal budget, most perniciously as earmarks. Adopted without debate, they pervert democracy. It's how congressional incumbents ensure their own reelection, and it's everything bad about closed government. Our representative should stop it.
During election years, politicians make speeches about how concerned they are with wasteful spending, the deficit, and the fiscal woes of the nation. But as soon as the television cameras are turned off, they brag about the pork that they are bringing home to their state or district. This hypocrisy has helped to create a $521 billion deficit and a $7.1 trillion national debt.
Now You can help get the politicians and the PORK they support into the lime light. This is a discussion for PORK, how to stop it, how to let other taxpayers know about it. And how to take action against it.
We want pork out of politics and back on the farm where it belongs. All Comments welcome as long as they are PORK Related.
