Insignia Solutions' NTRIGUE Provides Missing Component To Network
Computers

Analysts Claim Network Computers Need Windows to Be Viable Solution;

NTRIGUE Delivers Windows to All NC Devices

SANTA CLARA, Calif., /PRNewswire/ -- Insignia Solutions(R) (Nasdaq: INSGY) today announced that its
NTRIGUE(TM) product provides one of the key components missing from today's Network Computers (NCs) as described
in the Network Computer Reference Profile announced by Sun, Oracle and Netscape earlier this week. NTRIGUE, the
fastest and easiest Microsoft(R) Windows NT(R) application server solution on the market, delivers Windows(R)
applications to all enterprise desktops, including PCs, X terminals, UNIX(R) workstations, and Power Macintosh(R) and
Macintosh(R) computers. NTRIGUE can deliver Windows 95, Windows 3.x and Windows NT applications to all network
computer devices, including those not otherwise capable of running much-needed Windows applications and those not yet
available, at very high performance.

Network Computer Reference Profile Ignores Need for Windows

Earlier this week, ZONA Research, Inc. issued a report "Power and Greed, or Customer Need?" on the Network Computer
Reference Profile ("Flash Note" FN-MAY-04). In its analysis, ZONA points out that while the announced Profile addresses
vendors' needs it does not address the needs of customers; specifically the need for Windows application support:

"The most glaring omission with the Network Computer profile is the lack of Windows application support. All of our
research shows that enterprises believe that being able to run Windows applications is as important as being able to display
HTML information, and far more important than supporting Java applications. If an NC device lacks Windows support, it
would probably be limited to environments where the primary task is to access networked information, rather than run
popular personal productivity applications."

NTRIGUE Delivers Windows Apps to Network Computers

NTRIGUE provides this much needed Windows capability to any X- or ICA-enabled desktop, including Network
Computers, over corporate Intranets and the Internet. In fact, deployment of NTRIGUE on NCs makes for a far more
powerful solution by allowing users to actually run personal productivity applications at their desktop, not just access
networked information.

"We've heard a lot about these Network Computers recently, much of which has met with skepticism," said Dr. Robert P.
Lee, Insignia Solutions president and CEO. "Many people seem to believe that if these network appliances can't run
applications, they ought not to cost more than $100-$200. After all, for $1,000, you can get a traditional personal computer
capable of running basic Windows applications. The combination of NTRIGUE with the 'Network Computers' of the future
offers users the best of both worlds -- a low-cost piece, of hardware capable of running Windows applications."

Run Windows Applications Over the Internet

At the Microsoft Solution Developer Marketing Conference held May 16-17 in Bellevue, WA, attendees were impressed by a
demonstration of NTRIGUE on the Web, given by a Microsoft Webmaster. During a session on "Touring the Microsoft
Industry Home Page," participants saw NTRIGUE in action, demonstrating applications running over the Internet. Unlike
Java, which allows users to download small applets via the Internet, NTRIGUE allows users to run complex applications
such as Microsoft Exchange over the Internet.

"We have been looking for a way to demonstrate our client software over the Internet, and I was instantly attracted by
NTRIGUE," said Vito M. Santoro, manager, electronic communications for Micrognosis, a CSK company which develops
cross platform client/server trading systems for the financial industry. "The NTRIGUE on the Web demonstration was
amazing. It really impressed me as a great way to promote and demo our products to a much broader range of prospective
customers, using the Internet."

Carey Holladay, strategic alliance manager for Market Power, Inc., also saw the Windows on the Internet NTRIGUE
demonstration at the Microsoft Solution Developer Marketing Conference. Market Power's Visual MATRIX is a
Windows-based, enterprise-wide, sales force automation system, "It was quite a surprise to see Microsoft's Webmaster click
on Insignia's Home Page from their Explorer Browser and bring up a full Windows NT session!" observed Holladay. "We
plan to implement our own remote demonstration server based on NTRIGUE within the next 30-60 days."

PC users can actually see a live demonstration of this capability by accessing Insignia's web page (www.insignia.com),
downloading the NTRIGUE client and connecting to the NTRIGUE on the Web server to test drive the product in real time.
One click on the Insignia(R) "NTRIGUE Interactive Web Demo" icon takes them to the NTRIGUE server, which features a
variety of popular applications. Insignia has also set up a Microsoft Exchange server to demonstrate how the NTRIGUE
server can be used to deploy Exchange on corporate intranets with UNIX, Mac(TM) and PC desktops.

NTRIGUE 2.0 is the most comprehensive Intranet web application server on the market today, giving companies the key
they need to unlock their internal web presence. NTRIGUE supports all platforms, so every desktop in an enterprise can
access the same Windows applications. NTRIGUE allows for Internet or dial-up access via the ICA(R) protocol from
Citrix(R) Systems, Inc., adding yet another dimension to the flexible Intranet/Internet tool.

Pricing and Availability

U.S. pricing for NTRIGUE begins at $1995 for five concurrent sessions. NTRIGUE is available for immediate delivery
directly through Insignia Solutions, and through Insignia's resellers. Information on upgrade pricing is available by calling
800-848-7677. European customers can contact Insignia Solutions U.K. at 011-44-1-494-453300.
