This company is growing at a torrid pace, both through acquisitions and internal sales growth. Sales and EPS for the past 3 years has been: (in millions) 1993 1994 1995 1996(P) 1997(P) sales 5.1 7.3 13.2 41 120 EPS loss .04 .10 .35-.40 1.00-1.30 Management continues to make accretive acquisitions within the consumer collectibles and jewelry areas. Sales are mostly in home shopping industries, but now expanding to retail. Sound management team. Management owns 57% of outstanding shares. More accretive acquisitions to come in next 3 months. (KNIC) also owns a 38.3% stake in PURE ENERGY CORPORATION (PEC), a privately held company involved in the development and marketing of, perhaps the premier alternative fuel. The investment banker, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) bought into PEC with a 5% stake. DLJ's previous investments in private companies have been very successful.
