INVESTORS ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR THE NEXT MICROSOFT ... WHEN IN FACT IT'S EASIER TO SPOT THE NEXT BORLAND ... My name is Warren Gates ... I bought my first 3 stocks in Nov 1991 and these were Novell, Microsoft and Borland ... these stocks were at the top of the list of everyone's portfolios back then ... but now ... THERE'S ONLY 1 LEFT STANDING ... This thread is designed to spot the next road kill ,,, the long-term short ... sure you could leave money on the leader, but it might be safer to short the loser ... it provides the much needed hedge against devastating market corrections like the one we have in July 1996 ... This thread is not designed for the short-term shorts, the fundamentally good overvalued stocks ... sure Cascade's valuation is astronomical, but they deserve it ... likewise, this is not for the momentum stocks ... they go up on hot air ... and burn a lot of cash along the way ... This is for the poor 2nd place finishers ... In a poker game, the ones burned the most are the ones with the second best hand ... let's seek them | ||||||||||||||
