Checkmate Electronics designs, manufactures, and markets point-of-sale information and payment systems for retail stores and financial institutions. Products include magnetic ink character recognition(MICR) check readers, credit/debit/electronic benefit transfer payment authorization terminals, MICR analyzers, and related products. These devices are designed to allow data from checks, credit cards, debit cards, and other payment cards to be entered and processed by customers' point-of-sale or data processing system faster and more accurately than manual key entry systems. Checkmate's systems generally incorporate magnetic stripe readers, barcode readers, keyboards for the input of customer security codes, and/or signature capture peripherals.

This company has had a small following, yet is highly touted by analysts and brokers due to its potential and proven capabilities in establishing a firm market position. Strong balance sheets and superb management. The stock has quietly climbed and is expected to do so in the next 3-5 years at a 25% growth rate. Who's watching?
