Cell-Loc Inc. -- CLQ on Alberta Stock Exchange Shares: 12,058,000 Public Float: < 2,500,000 The Modern Investors' Journal has been focusing on a new company we believe is a winner for 1997. It should bring great returns, and is in the exploding hi-tech/telecommunications sector. Cell-Loc Inc. has developed and is globally marketing its technology to pin-point cellular phones. Mobile/portable phones currently have no way of being located to their precise location, but Cell-Loc Inc. has invented its patented technology called Cellocate. Their product will install onto existing cell sites with no modification to the equipment already intact -- they need only install their box, a GPS antenna, and a partial T1 line to the central switchboard. This makes it very economical and practical for the cellular carrier, and it locates the cell phones already in use by millions of people today. Why the need for this technology? Most importantly, the FCC in the US has mandated that such technology be put into place by all cell carriers/providers in the US by October 2001. A similar ruling will likely be forth by Industry Canada. Furthermore, many overseas countries are in the market to purchase the technology. Both existing cellular and new PCS providers will have to provide this service. Cell-Loc is making great strides to be the leader in providing such technology. The edge that Cell-Loc has over its competitors is that their system is small and portable, affordable, and can be deployed in stages. It is also capable of tracking a cellular caller for the duration of a call, as well as a phone which is turned on but not in use. None of the competitions' products do this. Also, the expenditures by the company have been very small since there is a large amount of funding from research grants. The research and development team is small but made up of wireless communications veterans and professors and a handful of post-graduate engineers. The company is an excellent investment, although speculative. I have reason to believe the company is in a position to be taken over within the next 6-12 months by a large OEM company. They are in negotiations with a number of companies for grants and contracts to further the company.
