Taken from Hoovers snapshot... "Startec Global Communications, a long-distance reseller, provides international long-distance services through a network of owned and leased transmission facilities, resale arrangements, and operating and termination agreements. It has traditionally marketed its services to ethnic Indian customers interested in calling services to India but is now targeting other groups, particularly Russians and people of Middle-Eastern origin. Callers use a dial-around number to access the company's network, which allows them to use Startec's services without changing their existing long-distance carrier. It also sells excess capacity to other services. Following its IPO, CEO Ram Mukunda will own about 45% of Startec." Constructive comments are appreciated. DD | ||||||||||||||
