A wise person learns from his/her own mistakes. A wiser person learns from others' mistakes. This thread is for the "wanna be wiser" by learning from the others. Please tell us your trading follies and also your virtues.

Long or short; investing or trading; stocks, commodities, options or even currencies trading - doesn't matter what you did. You must have had some winners and some losers. Tell us what worked for you the best and what didn't. Also, tell us what was your biggest mistake and what you learned from it.

The story could be like, "I bought XYZ at 55 as an analyst said 'strong buy.' I held on as it fell sharply. Eventually sold at 30, right at the bottom." Also, please tell us your emotional state of mind when you were buying and selling. After all, it is your state of mind and the resulting action that made you a loser or winner. Not the Shorts, nor the manipulators.

If you don't want your name to be displayed here, just send me an e-mail. I will post it here without posting any reference to your name.

Let us make this thread educational and civil in nature. I will start with mine in a bit.

Good luck!
-MMV
