Here is a place to discuss arbitrage possibilies. We small investors have opportunities to make 10-20% in three or four months if we carefully follow stock buyouts or mergers. Let's discuss the possiblities and the risks. Currently a company called purt has agreed to a buyout for $3 1/2 in cash (sometime during the first quarter of 98). The stock has been trading between 2 15/16 and 3 1/16. If the deal goes through the investor/arbitrager can make between 14 to 16% over the few months. If you are interested in discussing this deal or others, I await your comments.
