Market maker Monroe Parker went out of business in late November/early December and sold off all its holdings. This dumping had a profound effect on 5 stocks in particular- VCLL, FLEM, CXIL, ACUC and NTST- which MOPA launched as IPO's. As examples- almost overnight, VCLL dropped from $5-.50 and FLEM from $9-$1. Now with tax loss season over the news is just starting to get out, all five stocks are poised to make a big run up from the $1 range back to the $3-6 range where they belong once the news hits brokers and investors. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THESE STOCKS- its just the market maker liquidating inventory- think of it as an after christmas sale- everything thing is 70-80% off regular price! Today, Jan 6, VCLL put out the news: ThermaCell Search for New Investment Banking Firm MIAMI, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- ThermaCell Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: VCLL - news, VCLLW - news) said it is looking for a new investment banking firm and additional market makers. The Company began the search after learning that as of late November- early December, Monroe Parker Securities, Inc. had ceased market-making activities, was not soliciting new customers or accounts, and had limited its business to handling agency transactions to close out existing securities positions. Monroe Parker served as the representative underwriter to the Company's initial public offering in March 1997. ''We have a real Company here with great potential, we've made great progress in the last year, and we owe it to our public shareholders to do everything we possibly can to create value for them,'' said John Pidorenko, Chairman, President and CEO of ThermaCell. Biltmore Securities, Inc., Herzog Heine Geduld, Inc., and M. H. Meyerson & Co., Inc. continue to make markets in ThermaCell securities. Mr. Pidorenko said Monroe Parker's withdrawal as a market maker was made without any communication with ThermaCell. ThermaCell securities are also available via two electronic communication networks -- B-Trade Services and The Island ECN. ThermaCell was founded to develop, manufacture and market insulating materials and coatings using an innovative, microsphere insulation technology. Microspheres are uniform, hollow, glass bubbles that look like fine, white sand. Mixed in paints, coatings and other building materials, microspheres create a barrier that can be more effective and less expensive than conventional insulation. The first phase of the Company's strategy is to acquire manufacturing and distribution capacity in paints and coatings in order to systematically introduce its ThermaCool product line. As previously reported, tests on ordinary shingles on Florida homes painted with ThermaCool Roof Coating dramatically reduced temperatures by more than 30%, reducing wear on the roof outside and air conditioning needs inside. NASCAR Racing Teams report that ThermaCool Racing Products reduce the extraordinary heat in driver compartments by 50-60%, reducing wear on equipment as well as drivers. For more information, contact ThermaCell investor/public relations at 212-527-4808 or visit the website www.thermacell.com. FLEM put out basically the same news Dec 31: biz.yahoo.com The bottom line is that these FAB 5 stocks are not down because of their fundamentals(both ACUC and CXIL are now trading way below their book value)- they are only TEMPORARILY down because of MOPA's dumping and related tax loss dumping. The news today spiked VCLL to $1.87 and all the others are now just starting to move up strongly to their previous pricing. This is a huge opportunity to pick up some really cheap stock and make triple the money before the news spreads! The only drawback is the big spreads due to the MOPA market maker pulling out- but that still leaves at least 3 MM's for each stock, and VCLL, CXIL, ACUC, and NTST are all NASDAQ-listed with full SEC reporting. Out of the 5 stocks I like VCLL and FLEM to recover from the $1 range to the $3-5 range the fastest. VCLL has a float of only 1.6 million shares- and the most total outstanding is NTST with 8 million. List your comments here: | ||||||||||||
