FEBRUARY 1998 World semiconductor sales hit $10.52 billion Americas +3.3 Europe- +7.7% Asia- +6.6% All world markets reported sales declines from January 1998 to February 1998 Last year, global sales surged in the second and third quarters after a modest first quarter. Data for the Global Sales Report was collected by World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS), an organization that represents 70 companies.
