VW after sitting around for two decades with their thumb up their butt has come out swinging with Audi in blast off formation, the Passat going through the roof in sales along with the Golf, not to mention the sales record of the Jetta! And although the new Beetle won't contribute for 1998, it surely will for 1999, 2000 and beyond. And the agressiveness continues with the Roll Royce/Bentley deal [Rolls to BMW] & the purchase of Lambroghini. The only chink in the armor is no truck division...where will they get that? Methinks VOLVO....[VOLVY]...SO LET'S LOOK AT BOTH. Negative comments appreciated because of my positive bias...ADRs for VW are "VLKAY." VOLVO IS "VOLVY."
