They have the Live-scan interface to NAFIS (UK's National AFIS)

In that interface, they have a full Palm scanner designed to get the minutae on the subjects hands in one shot. The rolls are still necessary but it makes it so you don't have to get slaps or plains on a separate event. Plus you get the sequencing right. their palm scanner is very cool (I've used it).
