Lowestfare.com offers reservations for more than 400 airlines and 39,000 hotels, and also books car rentals, tour packages, and cruises. Nearly 97% of sales come from discounted tickets on Trans World Airlines(TWA). The company is targeting Internet sales (less than 6% of total sales, but growing fast) through marketing agreements with companies like Yahoo!, Frommers, Tripod (owned by Lycos), and theglobe.com. Chairman Carl Icahn (who once owned 90% of TWA) owns virtually all of Lowestfare.com."
