Qinnet's recent joint ventures have QNNT taking a majority interest in three companies operating in China. tjvan.net is an Tianjin ISP and is one of the original ISP's that was established in 1995 and is the second largest in the city after China Telecom. center.com is a Beijing ISP and is the hub of the Beijing operation. Center.com is the largest authorized reseller of Legend Computers (made in China). brainn.com is a Shenyang ICP and is well established and has focused on internet software. This area is the high tech center of N.E. China. Qinnet plans to expand E-Business and E-Commerce solutions to government agencies and private enterprises throughout China. There are over 15,000 companies with more than 1000 employees each that will seek access to the web in the near future. Plans are to acquire another 6 to 8 ISP's and ICP's throughout China in 2000 and partner with firms offering E-Paging, IP Telephony and E-Fax services. The introduction of TV set top boxes has made the internet more affordable for the Chinese people with cable fees of $3.00 per month. China has over 300 million TV sets which is the most in any country. The management team is well educated and has strong ties to the China Economic & Trade Commission. They are very capable of expanding internet related business opportunities throughout mainland China. China is poised to enter into the WTO in the spring of 2000. With relaxing of government restrictions and declining prices for internet connections, The Internet Boom is beginning.
