Through JV No-Time Wireless Innovium is looking to be a player in the Wireless application protocol space (WAP)
ThinSuite is being developed and delivered in two stages. The first stage will support WAP cellular phones and Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs). Content will be viewed in micro-browsers using WML. WAP is a standard protocol that allows developers to use familiar Internet programming techniques and paradigms to enable cellular phones to access the Internet. WAP was developed by the Symbian Alliance, which consists of Nokia, Motorola and Ericsson among others. The first WAP phones are expected to ship in the second or third quarter of 2000. NoTime Wireless is therefore scheduling its release of ThinSuite 1.0 for WML for June 30th, 2000.
The second stage of ThinSuite development will support fully-featured interactive wireless clients using the K Virtual Machine (KVM) and Java. KVM is a longer-term entrant to the wireless environment developed by Sun Microsystems. KVM will feature a tiny footprint, cross-platform availability and a rich set of features enabling wireless devices on this operating system to operate dynamically (i.e. compute). NoTime Wireless has been selected by Sun as one of a handful of software developers worldwide to be included on the KVM Alpha Team charged with the task of testing and contributing to the evolution of this standard. NoTime Wireless plans to deliver 'ThinSuite for KVM' to market three to six months after the release of the WAP version, pending the roll-out date of KVM by Sun.
  Could have huge potential.
