How to Shush a Peacenik..

First off ignore them if you can. Because that gets under people's skin more than anything I can think of.

But if you are up to the challenge here are a few tips I've compiled that might help.

Here is the gist of what they are saying.

"America has brought this upon themselves by way of their Foreign policies and their bullying of the world. So we have no right to respond to these attacks."

The polls in this country consistently show 94% support for the course of action we are taking. 94%!!!! That's more than Bush 41 got for Desert Storm which hit 89%.

So in my opinion we are really dealing with Anti-Americans out there. They are really demonstrating to us that they are the "Hate-America First Crowd." Another thing you have to understand is there is not an original thought emanating from any of them. All this stuff they are spouting is just programmed drivel drummed into their heads and they are spewing it or waiting for the opportunity to spew it and when they go home at night they feel good because they made a difference, or they think they accomplished something.

But if you really want to counter them. I don't think it's to hard and I certainly don't think you should be afraid to debate them. Cripes if all else fails you can just punch them in the mouth. The sissies won't do anything about it. It goes against their philosophy.<gg>

You can try this. Bring some pillows and blankets so when they start protesting you just smother them.<GG> Or get a copy of Una Paloma Blanca by Slim Whitman and blast it on your Boom Box while they are trying to protest. Because humor is one of the fastest ways of negating the impact of what someone is saying. Ridicule is a great thing.

But seriously.

One of the first things I would ask them is this,

Do you think that it's was justified for five or six thousand innocent Americans to die on September 11th? Is the United States that guilty?

Make them answer that question first! Make them answer it in front of everybody that's around you!

Make them say why it's justified that five or six thousand innocent Americans died!

And then ask them this,

Will you send a letter to the all parents, brothers, sisters, wives, husbands, sons and daughters of these people that were slaughtered, sign your name to it, and express your gratitude or happiness or whatever sentiment that you have that they're dead?

Make them put their names behind what they say and don't let them get away with speaking in platitudes. Then demand they explain to you just what the United States did and particularly those five or six thousand people did to deserve, as Americans, that they deserved to die.

After you laugh at their answer please whatever you do don't act intimidated. Because there are not enough of them and they are not worthy of you being intimidated. They are worthy of your contempt. They are worthy of your humiliation of them. Embarrass them. Force them to say the stupidest things in the world in front of everyone. Things that no one could possibly defend.

But in reality they won't take on your questions. They will use it as an opportunity to make further baseless charges. Which you will have to keep pointing out..

Say, "Aha! you won't answer my questions huh? So you won't back up what you say with a letter? So you have no answer for why these people deserved to die? Well if America is such a rotten place will you die in order to clean America up?"

There are any number of ways to go here.. First and foremost remember that these people are a very small percentage of the population. Just don't let them get to you because it really isn't worth it. But don't be afraid to confront them because you do have the intellectually superior argument on your side.

You have "Right" on your side and please remember that.
