Somewhere along the line, hedge funds have evolved from investment curiosities for billionaires to a legitimate investment option for many high net worth individuals and institutions. The promise of superior risk adjusted returns with little correlation to traditional portfolios has attracted many investors, but the questions about transparency, fees, regulation and such have kept many potential participants on the sidelines.
