MEL'S PASSION OF CHRIST EVOKES SYNAGOGUE'S LOATHING

Mel's Passion is helping awaken the central driving passion that anchors our culture and inspires the creative spirit of truth and justice in Christian Civilization--Jesus crucified for the sins of mankind. The Passion of Christ has been the central theme driving our culture's music, art, literature, architecture and social instutions for many centuries. Just as the Passion helps awaken Christians to the centrality of Christs' love, mercy and truth in their historical and spiritual heritage, the Passion evokes the opposite passion of loathing and hate in those who reject and despise the eyewitness historical accounts of Christ's Passion recorded in the New Testament documents. Yet it is not so much Mel's cinematic Passion that they oppose but rather his faithful adherence to the historical eyewitness accounts in the Gospels. The Synagogue wrongfully believes, and also wrongfully teaches that the Gospels are anti-Semitic. This sentiment is central to modern Jewish culture. The Synagogue is clearly wrong and ahistorial in this perception! The Gospels are historical accounts of love, truth and mercy, not hate. Mel's Passion captures the theological essence of Christ's sacrifice and love. The enemies of Mel's Passion are first and foremost enemies of the historical Gospel accounts. The central driving engine behind this opposition clearly comes from the Synagogue and the modern Sanhedrin-leaders of the ADL, American Jewish Congress, World Jewish Congress, Union of Orthodox Rabbis, and the Chief Rabbi of Israel. This is not to say that there is not also a small minority of non-Jewish opponents who oppose the Passion, but the thrust and leadership of the opposition clearly comes from the Synagogue. The documented records of this conflict will clearly show that the modern Jewish leaders are the architects behind the attacks and the slander against Mel Gibson and the Passion of Christ.
Mel's Passion has provided us with a rare opportunity to observe and document the latest episode in a two thousand year old conflict between the Church and the Synagogue. We can watch and evaluate this important historical event as it unfolds and measure the impact on us as individuals and as a society. Lines are clearly drawn and the opponents clearly identified. The internet provides us with the tools to document the step by step words and actions of both the supporters and opponents of Mel's Passion. On the one side we have cross section of the Christian community and their leaders (with very few fringe exceptions), both Catholic and Protestant, united in their support for Mel's Passion of Christ. On the other side we have the Jewish leaders, the ADL and rabbis spearheading the drive to destroy the movie and Mel's carrier by classifying both the movie and Mel as anti-Semitic. What is Mel's crime in the Jewish mindset? His "audacity" in daring to faithfully portray an accurate historical and biblical account of Christ's Passion. The Jewish leaders who represnt the 1.8% Jewish segment of the American family feel that they have a right to censor and dictate the Jewish point of view to the other 98.2% of our American family. Rabbinical leaders obviously view the historical eyewitness accounts in the New Testament as a threat to modern rabbinic or Talmudic Judaism.
