Anyone else following their progress? They finally have the permit to start drilling on their property adjacent to Diamond Fields in Voisey Bay. They are setting up the site now and will be drilling an extremely deep 1000 metre hole in about one week, i.e. the Eastern Deeps was discovered at 600 metres. Here's their latest Press release. Drill permits received for VBE 1 Columbia Yukon Resources Ltd CYR Shares issued 11,279,888 Sep 12 close $1.17 Thu 12 Sept 96 News Release Mr Douglas Mason reports Drill permits have been received for the VBE 1 claim block under option from International CanAlaska Resources. The VBE 1 prospect is on the south-east boundary of the Diamond Field's/Inco Main discovery block. The company will mobilize a high capacity drill rig to the VBE 1 and set up will resume in approximately one week. Six drill targets have been set in the north-west quadrant of the property. The drill program is designed to ascertain whether an Eastern Deeps style nickel-copper-cobalt mineralization is present on this property. The company has elected to accelerate its 50% earn in on VBE 1 and VBE 2 by funding the current program. The budget for the drill program is estimated to be $650,000. The company can earn a 70% interest in the VBE 1 and VBE 2 claims under the terms and conditions as outlined in a prior news release.
