Report - Vantage Enterprises VEC on th eVancouver stock Exchange

I would like to bring the following company to your attention - Vantage Enterprises Inc. - trade symbol VEC on the Vancouver Stock Exchange. While a few of us on the Compuserve Investors Forum are familiar with this stock - I suspect that there are others here that are not ...... this could be one of the most exciting gems companys (amethyst, tourmalines, aquamarines, emeralds to come along in a very long time. Presently there are only about 3 million shares out and only about 900,000 in the public float.

Management

The company is under the umbrella of the Gujral Group and is headed by Dilbagh Gujral .....the same gentleman that brought you Colossal - another of his companies that has done very well. He is a financier by by background, anad has considerable experience in mining and real estate. The Chief Geologist is a fellow by the name of Nic Money. He is a graduate of Oxford and has about 30 years of technical experience. In addition he has written over 160 papers and was adviser for the South African Development Council. Pratrap Reddy is a remote sensing geologist, and has spent a lot of time in Zambia and is very familiar with all aspects of gem production in the country.

Business Overview

Vantage became Africa's second largest produces of amethyst with the acquisition in 1995 of Krysytal Mining Ltd. This includes the surface and underground rights, and all of the machinery and mine equipment. Importantly, an experienced labour force is presently in place also. It was acquired for 650,000 dollars plus 100,000 common shares. Presently the amethyst resource now stands at about 44,000 metric tons (as of August 1996) . The value per metric ton is estimated to be about$14,250.00 ..... about 25% gem quality the remainder is pure crysalline silica suitable for commercial use. The mine life is estimated to be a minimum of 20 years.

In addition, Vantage has acquired 70% of Berylex Ltd. This company has a licence to explore for Zambian emeralds (plot 426 - about 120 hectares 260 acres) Zambian emeralds are reportedly to be highly sought after, and at present there is a shortage. Eight exploratory pits were dug (as of July 25, 1996) and 6 of these revealed favourable geological setting for emeralds.

The company is setting up it own grading/production /distribution facilities - thus eliminating one layer of additional cost. Their own lapidary plant is being established in Jaipur, India - in the interim, this activity is be contracted out.

Vantage recently sold a consignment of 20,000 kg of amethyst to a Hong Kong based company. The material sold is Vantage's initial step into the world's largest gemstone cabochon and beading market. Vantage's recent product promotions have resulted in numerous inquires and requests to supply rough amethyst for various Beading and Gem Cutting factories in Hong Kong, Bangkok (Thailand) and Jaipur (India). Vantage has acquired orders to supply facet grade rough amethyst in the US. The Company is also in the process of expansion of its sales and marketing efforts. These will target the U.S.A., Europe, India and the Pacific Rim countries.

Projected Earnings - US Dollars - Year commencing August

96\97 97/98 98/99 99/2000

Pre-tax Profit 4.73 7.67 10.64 12.00

Earnings/share 1.82 2.95 4.09 4.61

These figures do NOT include earnings that may be accrued through the sale of emeralds. They are based on a production schedule that should be easily attainable by the company. Based on a
price multiple of 4.0x-5.0x, Vantage shares could trade in the US$16 - US$20/share range in the next 12 months.

The company is apparently in the process of securing another property that will apparently add considerable value to their presnt holdings ..... not too much in the way of detail at the present time in this area. Presently the African properties are reportedly being being reviewed by at least one well repected mining analyst (Doug Casey) who has himself taken part of one private placement.

There is much more information available at their web site info@vantage-gems.com.

For an investor's pack, contact Michael Dowling @ 1-800-298-0244

I have a position in the company as a shareholder ..... I would suggest that you at least call the company and have a chat ..... I think you will be glad you did ..... the Gujral group of companies tend to be quite successful.

Good Luck,

MB
