Their problem is subscriber growth. They were caught totally off-guard.
Did you know they have one developer ALONE writing qcharts software?

Gosh, if Mike P. quits, they are finished.

>They know they have a problem. I for one, think they want to fix it once and for all as soon as possible. Qcharts is the best RT data system, I have seen.

I agree - the PROGRAM, when it is working properly, IS the best out there.

>All the posts, where people take their frustrations out on the company, won't get it fixed any faster.

Not sure I agree with that - putting a little light on a subject in a public forum can sometimes light a fire under those whoes job it is to fix it.

>It says more about the poster than the company or program.

OK - just what does it say about the posters? That they have run into a brick wall trying to deal with this company and are totally frustrated, maybe?

>Someone asked how much money has Qcharts lost you. Not a Dime!

I totally disagree with this comment - Qcharts is a NEEDED TOOL for me to do my job - trade. Without it I can not do my job any more that if I did not have a needed vehicle to transport my product to market. If you are an investor, maybe the problems are not THAT important but to a trader they are absolutely necessary.

>I consider it one of the best tools I have to make money. But from some of the posts here, if they couldn't trade today, it saved them from losing their money.

Rather presumptuous of you, don't you think? Certainly not one of the best days for trading but careful trading could have taken a point or two out of the market today - just as it can during any day.

>There is always a market, there is always a trade.

Certainly true - but that is MY decision to make, not to be made for me due to lack of trusted data.

Certainly not all is the fault of Qcharts - NASDAQ has their problems at market opening on high volume days - but whatever their problems, there is NO EXCUSE for the contempt which this companies management seems to hold it's customers.

Seems time that the BOD takes a hard look at senior management before they have no company left.

Surprised at the tone of your post...I have come to respect and watch for yours. For a guy who seems intelligent and logical, surprised you can't envision circumstances different than yours. I suppose a trader can decide to just kick off for the day, but my investments are live till I hit my targets. I generally buy options 3 months to a year out and ride it out to my loss or profit level. If I reach a reasonable target in minutes or days I'll take it, but not a trader. Qcharts has cost me money, and I simply voiced an honest opinion....you are right that your post tells me something about you.

The most important issue with me is accurate data, maybe you prefer all the neat interface features which I like also. Well Richard, got news for ya, my PaineWebber broker has accurate data everytime I call...system never down, don't have to switch servers or delete my temp directory and can rely on basic information such as avg daily volume. Let me put it this way...there are much more "reliable" systems out there. I'm still with Qcharts but running out of patience.

To each his own...hope you can respect that.

regards,

sf

PS: And we all know the customer service sucks...I, more than most as I have been a customer of quote.com over 3 years. I learned a long time ago that the best products have little chance without significant support behind them.

Richard,

and no indication that people are making any effort to debug the problem using trace route ping plotter etc. My qcharts works well everyday. I did have some brief outages thursday but other than that has run flawlessy for about a month since my last problem. people love to bitch but have no idea where the problem lies. I wish they would just leave or learn how to use their computers more effectively...
