Re: "AMD just might make the Harvard textbook case study group as an example of outstanding management direction and decision making!"

Hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahaha

You give gullible a new meaning....

Don't you think you should wait for that first penny of earnings before you canonize Jerry? Someone over on the Intel thread made a great analogy. This is the peanuts comic strip and Lucy is holding the football. You guys are falling all over each other for the chance to kick the ball and the inevitable outcome.

Don't tell me.... I know... This time it's different....

Just like all the other times it was different too.

Niceguy - RE: "At capacity, Dresden can produce a minimum of 25,000 Athlons annually,if memory serves me correct (5000 wafers/week)."

It will take quite some time for Dresden to reach full capacity. It may never even reach full capacity for AMD if they make a deal with someone. During the Q3 CC, AMD said that even Fab 25 hadn't reached full capacity, and that has been open since at least K6, probably even K5 or before.

RE <<<At capacity, Dresden can produce a minimum of 25,000 Athlons annually,if memory serves me correct (5000 wafers/week).>>>

niceguy, I want to make sure these numbers are correct. If it were 5000 wafers per week, then wouldn't it be 260,000 wafers per year. But the number of Athlons would be many more than the 260 k number, depending on the number of chips per wafer, wouldn't it?

Petz, Dan, Charles, Mani et al....is that not correct?
