Hi Tom,

It's still necessary to know where you want your money invested (by sector) before you choose which stock to own.

What is a good source for the official Sector listing? Does it provide total revenue dollars by sector?

Keith
PS - just noticed that we are back on the "Hot Subjects" list.

Hi Tom: I agree. There's a big difference between 'Stability' and Beta. And, your sector screening idea is exactly what I had in mind. My intent is to diversify across some number of (hopefully counter cyclical) sectors. In that way I can always have AIM take advantage of the current sentiment out there.
My question to the Great God of Mathematics < ;-} > was how to effectively measure AIM-ability using frequency and amplitude. I'm sure that VL's stability measure is probably just the ticket. Maybe I'll scoot down to the library and see if that supplement is in there.

BTW, Who are those 5 retailers? In the Teen specialty area right now, the big players are HOTT, ANF, AEOS, PSUN, and of course GADZ. Southridge and/or Brookfield Square are the only 2 malls which probably have most of these guys. We have a store in each.

Regards, Steve

Hi again Tom:

Not true about 'no one likes to hear you talk about Value Line'.

Andy was so impressed with your presentation in Vegas, that he and an investing buddy go to the library every Thursday for the whole morning and use your criteria to research candidates. They've been doing this all summer long.

Regards, Steve

Hi Tom,

Not sure if the VL Guide and definitions you're looking for are there, but Value Line posts that stuff on their website for free. Just go to valueline.com and click on "Education" to get to all of the VL guides. You can even print what's posted from the PDF files that you get are linked to for each item.

As I said, the education stuff is free, but the actual weekly surveys themselves still cost. Enjoy.
