But your wrong.

Et Tu Brute..

The difference between you and I is that I'm voting as much for Dick Cheney as I am for George Bush.

Whatever Bush may have lacked (and it isn't much more than Clinton lacked when he was elected), was more than made up for by choosing Dick Cheney.

Choosing Cheney was clear evidence that Bush put experience over votes. He KNEW that Cheney possessed little value as a political "face" that would draw votes.

But Cheney has impeccable credentials and contacts in the beltway on both sides of the aisle. Having him on board lended IMMEDIATE credibility to the Bush campaign.

Bush locked in my vote at that time as he showed me that he wasn't just interested in picking a running mate who would win the White House for him, as Gore has done with Lieberman, but rather someone who could help him RUN the White House and act as a close advisor.

Had Clinton only been as wise to follow the same course back in 1992, maybe we could have avoided many of the scandals he and Gore have put this nation through.

Lieberman has no special qualifications except as someone who lended integrity to a tainted candidate and someone who could clinch the Jewish vote.

The man who should be president is the man who can create the best and most experienced team for advancing the interests of America and its people.

And that is clearly George Bush Jr...

I just read an article about GWB that was written by the Associated Press. That article refutes what you say. It says he is a fiercely loyal man. It says he is very disciplined, punctual and dependable. It says he finds time to do "balanced life" things like love his family, exercise, read, have devotional time but he is also structured to stay on top of the issues. His long time friends who are interviewed say he is a very honest and dedicated man. As for not be educated, he is far better educated than Gore. He is an MBA from great schools. Gore I believe has a BS but flunked out or dropped out of divinity school and law school. You probably interpret his kindness, gentlemanly bearing with weakness. I will bet you that, in an emergency, he would react with more maturity and good judgement than Al Gore would. He has shown that he will stand tall for his values. He hasn't flinched to endorse and defend his positions on matters. Gore will flip-flop instantaneously if her perceives that is what will get your vote. i.e. I am for a smaller government. I won't hire one additional government employee yet I have said I would implement 200 new government programs. Believeable? I don't think the person with an IQ of 45 would believe that one.

You wrote, "...but Bush lacks the intelligence, education, and leadership to be President."

Let's take them one at a time:

1. Intelligence. I don't have the I.Q. scores for either candidate. Do you? They had comparable college SAT scores, if that's any indication. Advantage, neither.

2. Education. Bush has both a bachelor's and an MBA (Master of Business Administration) from an Ivy League university. Gore has a bachelor's from an Ivy League university, then flunked out of a graduate divinity school program, then enrolled in, but subsequently dropped out of law school. They had comparable grades as undergraduates. Bush earned his advanced degree in Business Administration. Gore started twice, but failed twice in his post-graduate studies, first as a flunkie and then as a dropout. Advantage Bush.

(N.B. Even I, lowly Selectric, far surpassed Gore, but not Bush, on this criteria. If I could do it, anybody with drive and smarts (or either) could do it.) Where is the issue, Brutus?

3. Leadership. Bush was elected, and overwhelmingly re-elected, governor and leader of the second largest state in the union, a state which historically has been viewed as industrial and dirty, but which has embraced high technology and made substantial progress on many fronts during Bush's tenure.

Gore was the number-two man behind Clinton. He probably is known mostly for his illegal campaign fundraising scandals and secret deals with the Russians to sell arms to Iran to be used against our friend, Israel. Oh, yes, he also made himself scarce in Washington during the impeachment. Any other accomplishments? Any controversy there? Oh, yes, I forgot. Gore invented the internet. But, anybody who's invested in a "dotcom" lately has probably lost their "but*."
