JQP. HGT av NG price = $4.07/mcf on latest distribution.

Monthly distributions are based on prices 2 months earlier. So distributions will continue to increase 2 months after NG prices peak.

HGT doesn't hedge. The operating companies for the various properties make those decisions. HGTs largest operator is your XTO which (as I understand it) does very little hedging.

Cheers

re natural gas 'freezing':
What can happen is the line will hydrate off across a pressure drop,ie control valve, prior to being processed in a dehydration unit. A lot of natural gas wells, at least here in AB., have a certain amount of H2O entrained in the stream which is removed essentially at the well head before transporting it to a processsing facility. At-40*c/f even 'dry' gas will hydrate with enough pressure drop. Methanol bills go up this time of year for producers.

-30*C in the forecast for us again tonight
